Soldiers' parents who support the war disgrace the honor of their sons |
|
An Idiot Son "leader" can't even give a straight answer on why this war is happening. What kind of parent with a son on the front lines would keep quiet or worse SUPPORT this shit?

5. Don't you think this is the only way they can bear the loss.?...by |

convincing themselves that their child died for a worthy cause?....I think everyone handles things in a different way...Some people can get angry, like Cindy Sheehan and face up to the fact that their child was deceived.....Others can only function if they believe that the loved one died for a purpose...IMO

6. Had this discussion last night with my sweetheart... |

This is not TominTib - this is his sweetheart. I lived in Canadia for 25 years and moved back the the good old US of A 5 years ago with many reservations.
This crazy country could learn a lot by paying attention and following what happens north of the 49th parallel. Canada is so "conservative" - except for the Tim Horton's mania - and yet, so fundamentally progressive.
I agree with you. I have experienced much loss, and understand that for many folks (per our discussion of the previous eve), they would have to let go of everything that they know, and everything that moors them to this earth and guides them in order to get their minds around another notion and - in their grief - that is just not on the table. I respect and understand it. The folks, though - that have sacrificed nothing - except perhaps the last nuggest of any innate intelligence - well, they have no purchase, nor platform.

The fact it's their children on the front line and they want whatever's best for them to happen? Even if they want their children to come back, they know that there won't be a massive troop withdrawal any time soon, so they'll continue supporting the mission their kid is on because they might feel like shitty parents if they went "fuck what my son/daughter is doing".
