"Anyway, back to the fantabulistic thing that happened today. We had a rally downtown in Crawford. Then the people caravanned up to Camp Casey. I was told to come down to the point of the triangle to greet them. While I was walking down to the point, I had a great view of Prairie Chapel Road. There was car, after car, after car!!! I started sobbing and I felt like collapsing. The cars kept on coming. It took almost a full hour for them to all get to Camp Casey, it was a miraculous sight to see. It was identical to Field of Dreams. People came from all over the country to be here. We are building a movement and they are coming." ... Cindy Sheehan

8. It was wonderful, but what I don't understand is why the MSM
is not reporting the outpouring of support. See this story that was in the Dallas Morning News this morning. I was livid because it makes it sound like the counter protest was just as big as the peace rally. I was there, and I KNOW it wasn't. There were at least 600-700 peace supporters, and I only saw 40-50 Bush supporters all day.

I shot off an angry e-mail to the DMN reporter as well as two senior editors. To their credit, they responded to me within an hour, but they still have not given me a credible explanation for their poor reporting of this event.

(By the way, if you look to the left you'll see the big stadium umbrella I'm sitting under. That's my 3yo son in the white t-shirt and baseball cap. He was amusing a lady behind us drinking water out of that bottle and then spewing it up so it bounced off the bill of his cap. :spray: )

14. I don't cry much over posts and such
but Cindy's report - what she writes and how she writes moved me. The tears are trickling down my cheeks. Thanks for postin BigBearJohn. With so much to read it's good to have DU'ers post something we might miss. :hug:
