Birmingham, Ala. news today: "BUSH WILL GO ON WITH HIS LIFE"
PASS IT ON!!!! To EVERYONE! Nothing illustrates how this monster has no soul than to listen to his own words!

CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush, noting that lots of people want to talk to the president and "it's also important for me to go on with my life," on Saturday defended his decision not to meet with the grieving mom of a soldier killed in Iraq.

Bush said he is aware of the anti-war sentiments of Cindy Sheehan and others who have joined her protest near the Bush ranch.

"But whether it be here or in Washington or anywhere else, there's somebody who has got something to say to the president, that's part of the job," Bush said on the ranch. "And I think it's important for me to be thoughtful and sensitive to those who have got something to say. But," he added, "I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life."

The comments came prior to a bike ride on the ranch with journalists and aides.

would love to go on with their life and keep it balanced. bush is totally immoral and demented. I don't think bush has an intelligent thought in his obviously empty head. How is this person President of the US?????

The election in 2000 was stolen and we've been told to get over it.

The son of a bitch should have never been allowed to squat the White House for one day.

10. Apparently he's forgotten where his money comes from.
Those people who ask to talk with him pay his bills. We're the ones paying for the cool jet, the neato helicopter, and the kick-ass armored limo. It's not his house--it's our house that he lives in much of the year.

If he wants to go on with his life, he can leave the presidency.

13. Not so fast
He has to put the budget back where it was when he first took office, in a surplus. And since he's such a morAn, he'd better get some smart-thinkin' book-larned folks to help him do that.

Or... we just seize all the cabal's assets and that of the corporations that helped them do all this, and then impeach the whole lot of them.

19. Flashback........July 4, 2001 from our compassionate conservative pres.
"Who cares what you think?"

That's what President Bush shot back at me when I told him what I thought of his performance. As November approaches, I have to thank him for pointing me toward exactly the right question.

By Bill Hangley Jr.

March 19, 2004

It has been almost three years since I spoke with the president of the United States, and I still get mail about it.

It was July 4, 2001, and we were both at one of those things that the late historian Daniel Boorstin would have labeled a "pseudo-event:" A church picnic in Philadelphia, designed to help George W. Bush promote his faith-based policies. I was working at the time for a local nonprofit that had helped set it up, but I had some serious misgivings about the president's performance up to that point, and being a part of the whole operation had left me feeling a bit like a pseudo-person. So when I had the chance to shake Bush's hand, I said, "Mr. President, I'm very disappointed in your work so far. I hope you only serve four years."

His smiling response was swift: "Who cares what you think?"

http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2004/03/19/bush_encounter/index_np.html

------------

That first small glimpse into the mind of George Bush has now widened into a gaping dark abyss - a moral vacuum. No wishing for understanding or compassion from this man will make it so. He is incapable of it.

20. "It's also important for me to go on with my life" is
Edited on Sun Aug-14-05 09:28 AM by LibDemAlways
a statement reserved for someone who's been through a significant emotional event -- perhaps a serious illness, or the break-up of a marriage, or a death in the family. It sounds assinine coming from the lips of a "moran" who is merely trying to justify avoiding a grieving mother whose son's death he is responsible for.

29. Oh, his heart will go on!
Doesn't that make you feel all Celine Dion-ish and Titanic-ful? George W. Bush, in the face of so much death and misery that he is personally responsible for, will . . . will . . . GO ON! Praise Jebus! Where does he find the strength of character simply to ignore the logical consequences of his reckless actions, pick up and forge ahead as if nothing untoward has happened?

Answer: A lifetime of practice.

A guy had gone on a mission trip to Maine. He said good things about your state (which is probably much better off than Alabama) but he also played up the stereotype of a Yankee. Sectionalism. Doesn't it suck?
