5. That's OK. I liked how he reacted to questions on why
the Dems don't have a plan. He threw it back at them saying that they don't have access to the same info as the president and anyway, it is the commander in chief's job to have a plan.

He drove home the point that women will be much worse off under the new Iraqi constitution.

6. I didn't like that Schieffer said...
that he'd probably get lots of complaining emails and that he'd have Mehlman on soon. The wingnuts don't seem to notice that Mehlman's on much more than Dean is.

11. As long as he ask real questions and calls Mehlem on his
lies, I don't mind him being on.

7. He was outstanding.
Very clear and I think he just called the president out on Iran threats. I taped it, will check on exact words.

The president has squandered our resources while letting NK and Iran grow in power.

8. I love how he now refers to the * debacle as a regime
Schiefer tries to get him w/ tough questions-- too bad he won't use them on Rummy et al.-- and Dean answers them all-- at one point Dean even referred to one of Schiefer's "questions" with a "is that a statement or a question"-- in other words-- "Don't put words in my mouth, putz."

BTW-- this interview is akin to a journalist interviewing a presidential candidate-- or at least HOW they should interview a candidate.

Too bad the press (and DLC) doesn't realize that they mugged the wrong guy with Dean.

9. Dean on Face the Nation
No TV here. Caught this at Dailykos in an open thread. Seems worth sharing:

Dean on Face the Nation:

Howard was SPOT ON today, he really had his shit together and I was proud to be a democrat watching him. On Iraq he talked about how there was no plan going in, and now there isn't a plan to get out, and how he Bush sqandered any kind of credibility abroad and in America. The man was Spot on, and now we need others to get on board.

10. That is a good post. He was amazing today.
I am amazed at how very little discussion there is here today, almost none. He called Bush out on so many things...he has now officially wavered a little on his "leaving Iraq" stance...he as much as tells Bush to quit his empty threats toward Iran.
He will get flak from those statements.

Good discussion on intelligent design, how it is a religious thing, science is another.
