Sorry , Mr. Mattlage, but we're going to stand up to Dubya in Crawford
so we don't have to fight him in Minneapolis, Houston, Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, St. Paul, Portland, New Orleans, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Boston....

I can sympathize, though. It must be like being an Iraqi, only no one is invading your home and killing your family and neighbors.

Chill or go on a long vacation. More of us are coming.

Peace.

16. Yay,...kick for intolerance and perpetual division of Americans.
Kick to help those who benefit off dividing common Americans from one another.

Kick to attack rather than understand those who are just as exploited as the rest of our people.

Kick to vent our frustration on anyone other than those who are responsible for IMPOSING a life we NEVER invited.

Kick to engage in the same character assasinations that disgust us.

Kick to be,...just like the enemy of our humanity.

Kick, kick, kick away your own humanity. Geez.

3. The people at Camp Casey ARE peaceful. None of them fired any shots.
And they have gone out of their way to do everything according to the law and also to be polite to the people that live there.

I think this guy is out of line and he is threatening people.

7. Yep but this guy is just frustrated
He is sympathetic to Cindy - we should build on that.

8. I think you are right. He got frustrated but he isn't our enemy so
lets not make him into one.

I would think Cindy talking to him would calm him things down.

I don't think this is that big of a deal.

9. Let's not make TOO many excuses for this guy. He could have
gotten attention some other way.

Firing shots in the air is rather threatening, don't you think?

I hope he does talk to Cindy and calms down. Maybe he will come over and have coffee and find out what this is all about. it's bigger than any one of us.

11. He's getting even more attention for the protests on CNN
Sometimes a guy like Larry can be a PR blessing.

14. A meeting between Cindy and Larry could actually work to our
advantage. I think he is sympathetic to her plight and if he showed that, it would get more press - and we won't turn down more press.

12. I don't think it is probably as big of a deal where he lives compared to
where I live. I've never lived outside of city limits.

I think he was certainly trying to let them know he is annoyed, and he has had a few beers. It isn't exactly his finest moment and not real smart but I'm just saying this isn't some freeper who hates Cindy and loves Bush.

I'm cutting him some slack. If he is reminded of the trauma that Bush has imposed on these families and people are sympathetic to his concerns, it will all blow over.

Sorry, I just don't see him as that bad of a guy. I guess I've seen quite a few annoyed men have little "outbursts" - although guns have never been involved.:)

I don't want Cindy to leave. I want her to stay the entire vacation and take the protest to DC. :)

22. I don't call a drunk redneck shooting rounds into the air
a "little outburst."

I see a lot of apologies for this guy. If he did this in Minnesota he'd be whisked off to jail or detox.

I see him as part of the problem. We are trying to save thousands of lives here. Why do we have to walk on eggshells around a guy who just does not "get it?"

People are dying as we're typing.

threats and an ivitation to others to come join him in this gun driven threats. I figure they will bring their beer too.

This is far more than a harmless "outburst". He is out of control and creating a hostile and threatening situation for people that are well within their rights.

His actions were directly aimed at making the protesters pack up and leave. That is one asshat using guns to deny a whole group their right to free speech on the single most urgent and pressing matter or our times.

Yeah, I can see how that shouldn't bother us! Please.

Get a clue. This guy is a shit-kicking country nut that can not exresss himself without guns that we are talking about! And he want the others to come and join him.

Fuck him and frankly fuck those that think this is even remotely acceptable behavior.

10. Good to hear other's are going when some of us just can't.
Living on the other side of the country, not all of us can afford to get there, or are disabled... if I could crawl my way to Crawford I'd be there. And trust me, I'm ready to start crawling. Only thing stopping me is the bucks.

17. has anyone offered Mr Mattledge cash?
he said that, like a brother in law, we'd worn out our welcome... if a brother in law waived $5,000 cash in his face he might change his tune... if he waivers we tell him we'll supply him with all the beer he can drink til we're gone ((:

18. Yay, Kat! You da Woo-Man!
And I just don't get these apologists! Do they have to see blood spilt before they think that drinking and shooting your shotgun off in the air around peaceful protesters is a lil OTT? They act as if this NUT had NO opportunity to come down and talk to Cindy; they act as if Bushco were somehow above paying off a nutty neighbor to rev up the crank-case he calls his personality and start issuing threats and ultimatums!
But it's all gonna backfire on 'em; like you, I am not deterred in the least!
Well said, my dear! You tell 'em!

ps: K&N, of COURSE!
