All of this is quite really sad. :( This is what the Bible says about events like this: Isaiah 56: 7 "...for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people".

(Matt 21:13)"... It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."

9. The lady with the big hair
Her husband is an example for their so-called morality. He cheated on her with another man.

6. I don't know what Zell was like as a Gov. I moved here after he left
office. I admit to voting for him for the Senate because I was so new to the state and he was running as the Dem.

I appologize to everyone for voting for this nut! I'm so ashamed, and every time I see his face on TV I change the chanel! I can't stand to see or hear him, EVER!

I don't know what happened to him, or even why! I could almost understand if he was still in politics. Ga is such a RED state, I could maybe see that he was just trying to get votes, but he's out of politics...at least the voting kind!

It's very sad to say, but at least he's old, and I suspect won't be a thorn in the side of Georgians for too many more years!

10. most Georgians thought Zell was fairly progressive as Gov.
His biggest legacy was the HOPE scholarship program, which used the state lottery to send anyone with a "B" average to college. He also started a pre-K school program.

Zell supported removing the embarrassing Confederate emblem from our state flag back long before that change was supported by many Georgians. Indeed, the current Republican governor used the flag issue to gain support from the rednecks who wanted to keep the Confederate symbol.

I don't know WHAT happened to Zell after he got to Washington. He was praising John Kerry one moment and then croning Republican platform points several months later. I think the stress of the job might have been too much for a 70 year old man, and he might have succumbed to the early stages of senility.

Yes, I also voted for him for the Senate, and not one day goes by that I don't regret it.

13. I do honestly believe there is something physically wrong with Zell.
Anyone who writes to Dear Abby and gives a scenario similar to what has happened to Zell lately would get the standard reply that the man needs to see a physician. Pronto!

12. Oh man I miss that guy.
He was absolutely hilarious to watch on C-SPAN. Last fall, Lautenberg had just finished talking about how Halliburton was ripping off the taxpayers and the floor was given to the Repugs. They gave the floor to ol' Zell and he ranted and raved for about 30 minutes about how Kerry had voted to cut the defense budget. This was during the run-up to the election and Zell was fresh off his post-RNC-speaking meltdown so he was really fired up. Oh man, it was hilarious watching this guy spouting off like a lunatic on the Senate floor. OK, it would have been REALLY funny if it wasn't the Senate floor and people hadn't actually voted this guy in as a member of the Senate and all. That was in the back of my mind the whole time so that kind of took some of the fun out of it. But aside from that, he was hilarious. Hell, if he was running in my state I might have even considered voting for him just for the "fun factor." That and the fact that he's no worse than Coleman. Ugh. Hey, at least Zell is fun to watch. Coleman is just...smarmy.

15. I got in my digs at "Justice Sunday" in my sermons yesterday.
I explained what they were doing, and all I added was "beware of those who use the gospel for personal or political gain - they are NOT speaking for God, or building up the Body of Christ. In fact, they're helping to divide it. They want to keep people OUT, while Jesus is working to bring people together." O8)
