Randi Rhodes quotes from a NYT article yesterday that....
mercenaries, paid armed security "experts", are guarding our US Generals in Irag.

What would you like to bet that these Generals are under watch by the * admin through these armed guards to make sure that they carry out admin policies?

Is General Byrnes being guarded by mercenaries, too?

4. Been saying all along the troops are hostages and held for ransom by
the corporations doing the war profiteering. This pretty well proves my point. The generals really are hostages of the corporations.

It has NEVER been a military coup I feared in America. Have known too many decent men and women in uniform who really are in it out of love of country and sense of duty to it. Been screaming for over 20 years that the real threat was from the corporate sector. They have no national loyalities, no fondess for justice and think laws are for chumps.

Life is cheap to the boardroom bastards. Most in the military have a reverance for it.

5. That's the point I was trying to make, Havocmom.....
The guards are there to "discourage" the Generals from taking actions not in accordance with * policies.

It makes me wonder if some of the Generals stateside are being guarded by mercenaries, too. Is General Byrnes being guarded by mercenaries?

6. Silly me and I thought the Military protected
it's own. All the Generals or just the four-star?

8. NT Times Magazine 8/14/05
"Some people will tell you they're here for Mom and apple pie,'' a private security man with another company told me. (He didn't want his or his company's name printed, he said, because neither his colleagues nor the industry in general think kindly of conversations with the media.) ''That's bull. It's the money."
