Something a little less noble
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 03:42 PM by FightingIrish
In the week that Cindy Sheehan has waited to learn from George bush what the noble cause was that her son died for, that cause got a little less noble. From an unnamed administration source: “We are in a process of absorbing the factors of the situation we're in and shedding the unreality that dominated at the beginning.” With that gem of obfuscation came the announcement that one more contrived reason for Casey Sheehan’s death is now “inoperative”. He died for freedom and democracy. Not exactly. We’ll leave Iraq with something less than what they had to begin with and a whole lot of misery getting there.

It is no wonder Bush won’t get off his bike and meet with this woman. He knew that backward step was coming as support for his disastrous war crumbles like a Crawford cow pie in an August gully washer. How can he admit to her that her son was killed making Iraq safe for an intolerant theocracy? I think he should quit offering up excuses for his war and save them for the impeachment hearings.

4. "the unreality that dominated at the beginning"
Is that an admission of all the LIES that duped the US public, condemned 1800 to death and doomed the occupation from the get-go???
