DU seems to have more loyal support that FR, judging on donations.
Here we are like 30 hours into the 3rd quarter fund drive, and we are at 29% of the goal. Seems to me that last time FR had a fund drive, (while I was still keeping an eye on them for Andy Stephenson's sake) it took them a week to get to this point.

And I'm not even clear they finished the drive, as it just ended one day, but when last I saw the progress bar there was 40% left to go.

I think this shows that we here are not only committed to this cause as "Rah Rah!" cheerleaders, but are into it with our time, and our energy, and when possible our wallets as well.

Folks, if we can keep this level of energy going, we will destroy the GOP and history will group them with the Whigs as a failed party of a bygone, less enlightened age.

1. Freepers are Posers
Look at them.... they push others into a war so that they don't have to fight themselves. Like a bunch of scared cheerleaders on the sideline... come to think of it; isn't that what Bush was... a cheerleader?

5. These are the same people who visited Camp Casey and chanted ...
"We Don't Care"

So ... I guess they don't care enough to donate either. :eyes:

8. I sort of monitored their last drive.
It was with a great deal of glee I watched the total creeeeeeeeeeep up.

Then the total jumped to 100%. Like JUMPED. There was a very small note stating that they had rolled in the monthly donations and the drive was therefor at an end.

Isn't that cheating? Whatever else it is, it's LAME.

10. Wasn't he trying for some obscene amount of money? Like $39K?
I run White Rose on half as much per year. If I'm lucky I take 4500 a quarter. And I cannot see how Free Republic costs all that much to run.
