I agree with the no brains characterization, but I sincerely believe that some of them are being victimized by the neo-con and fundie leadership. They take people with little education or exposure to diversity, and they prey on their fears...they feed their hatred and paranoia, yet when one of them finally goes postal (as they believe their leaders want), the chicken shit bastards turn their backs on them. Of course as always when dealing in generalizations, I am sure there are many freepers who are well educated, well traveled etc. These are the assholes who are truly destroying our country.

These folks are the KKKers, the bigots, the in-bred, narrow minded, the weak minded descendants. It's no accident that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was one of the most determined opponents of Civil Rights in the 60s.

Not all us Southerners are like them, but they are so freaking loud and obnoxious that they drown out the rest of us.
