and if the shit hits the fan I feel bad for all the people who are numb. I protested a couple weeks ago at Bank One Ballpark in Phx. with a large group of people. We tried to talk with folks coming out of the game, to let them know about the Downing St. Memo, etc. and it was truly frightening at the waves and waves of people coming straight at us walking across the cross walk with total blank looks on their faces. It was eery! We were chanting, we had huge signs, some people were cheering us, some were flipping us off, and worse...but the majority of people........blank faces!
They don't even know how to think anymore.
Things are getting bad, and even people in the anti-war movement who have been responsible and have kept themselves informed will go into self preserve mode and denial. It's human nature.
I struggle with it myself, questioning, but deep down I know and I feel in my heart that we have only begun to see and feel this pain. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.
I do feel that we will "win" whatever that might mean in the end I'm not sure. And for alot of people on the winning side it probably wont feel like a victory. But I believe our cause is true and just and born of love......so we're already on top.
