Truckers and Gas prices future shortages of goods. |
|
I have tried to find a link to this story but nothing was posted. Local Cleveland station reporting on High Gas Prices last night, was interviewing a trucker. The trucker while talking about some truckers will not take loads if it will not pay the fuel costs saying some shipments are just sitting in warehouses because they can't get a trucker to run the load due to costs. This trucker also mentioned a possible shutdown by the trucking industry in protest of the prices.
Anyone hear anything about this?

1. No. But, last week there was a truckers 'strike' |
|
in Florida over the price of gas. They shut down ? Rt. 29.
Very little about it on the news, of course.

Gotcha! ;)
Really though, bush cannot stand on the sidelines much longer. Either has to start releasing oil from the national reserves or has to do a little "jawboning" with the oil companies that are raping the American public. Gas that is already in dealer's tanks mysteriously gains 25 cents value overnight, but when the price of oil drops, that price decrease doesn't take affect for months. If that isn't price gouging, I don't know what is. That's what you get when you install oil-men in the White House.
