I have no job, haven't worked in three weeks. I have two interviews today (wish me luck!) and I've been averaging six a week. Every job that seems close won't make a decision until after the first of the month. But I can't rest until I actually get one. If I nail one, I'll donate as I have in the past.

Sorry, but right now, food and transportation to/from work is a higher priority for me.

I'm working 2 jobs and my fiancee makes a whopping $50 a month (or so...it varies)

I've switched to driving my 17 year old Toyota Corolla to work, what with gas prices so high...my 4 year old SUV is relegated to back-up vehicle for now.

I need to donate this month to NARAL and HRC, too, and sent money to the Crawford Peace House, so my larger donation might have to wait til next month.

I got ACLU and Planned Parenthood out of the way last month, and Amnesty International in late June.

If you want to know why I am broke all the time it is because I give it away!

But I'd rather be poor in a country that honors progressive causes than to be rich in the fascist dictatorship we are heading into.

I managed to give about $1,500+ in the past 3 months to various campaigns, PACs, causes, and cultural stuff. PBS was a big one this time ... I can't live without it. DCCC, DNC(for Howard only), Hackett, Andy ...etc.

If I can manage to scrape enough together to pay my mortgage, I'll probably splurge to buy some wonderful, deserving DUer a star - as I've done in the last 2 or 3 drives. I promise.
