Rice: Iraqi constitution delay indicates "momentum" - WTF? |
|
Here's the paragraph from this morning's New York Times (page A8):
"Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice echoed Mr Bush's sentiment, noting that the vote to delay indicated 'considerable momentum toward completion' of the draft constitution."
First of all, when has Rice not "echoed Mr Bush's sentiment" on any subject whatever? But more importantly, what can she possibly think she means by this nonsensical statement? A delay in a firm, fixed date indicates momentum, according to her. According to me, it indicates the exact opposite.
Gee, what if there are further delays? Won't the momentum build up to dangerous levels? Rice is a fool.

7. There Are Two Sides To Momentum |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 10:17 AM by ThomWV
One side of the momentum coin says that things that are happening will keep on happening as long as nothing changes.
The other side of that same momentum coin says that things that never got moving will never get moving unless something changes.
The country of Iraq had no constitution, and today has no constitution. Nothing's changed.
