I need transcript of * saying 9/11 isn't why we're in Iraq
I have Cheney saying at the VP debate last fall that he "never said there's a connection between Al-Quaeda and 9/11" and I know smirk has said something similar more than once (of course worded carefully). I'm trying to show a freeper acquaintance that there is no connection between Iraq and 9/11 (well, besides the PNAC and LIHOP, but that would be too much for him to handle right now). In response to a complaint about smirk and the nat'l debt he said "a little something called 9/11 happened." I said "So how exactly did that affect the debt, the loss of businesses and workers from the twin towers was massive, but couldn't account for this record-breaking debt. Maybe when 9/11 happened the US realized what a bad man Saddam is and decided to rescue the unfortunate Iraqi's by spreading Freedom and Democracy."

Video clips would be even better, for full affect. Thank you in advance!

1. I would appreciate a link to Cheney's statement and if you find
the weed's please let me know. I had a debate with an "educated" repuke last week that claims that SH & Iraq were involved in 9/11.

I want to provide the audio proof that the repuke is an idiot and that her leaders are LIARS.

6. Thank you dearly, Google maestro! I owe ya one:)
get this, he's already backing off, starting to blame the Clenis for 9/11, but I hit back at him with how much more of a priority terrorism was to Clinton than smirk, who for one thing ignored the vital Daily Briefing bc he wanted to vacation.

Bush: No Iraq link to 9/11 found
President says Saddam had ties to al-Qaida, but apparently not to attacks

By SCOTT SHEPARD
COX NEWS SERVICE

WASHINGTON -- President Bush, having repeatedly linked Saddam Hussein to the terrorist organization behind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, said yesterday there is no evidence that the deposed Iraqi leader had a hand in those attacks, in contrast to the belief of most Americans.

The president's comments came in response to a reporter's question about Vice President Dick Cheney's assertion Sunday on NBC's "Meet The Press" program that Iraq was the "geographic base" of the terrorists behind the attacks on New York and Washington.

Bush said yesterday there was no attempt by the administration to try to confuse people about any link between Saddam and Sept. 11.

"No, we've had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with September the 11th," Bush said. "What the vice president said was is that he (Saddam) has been involved with al-Qaida.
