Assaulting the Troops: Imagine a name you love on one of the crosses.
Imagine if the name of someone you dearly loved and lost were on one of those crosses at Camp Casey. Imagine seeing that cross, with that name, trampled on the ground.

Talk about spitting on veterans.

It's horrible enough to see from a distance, with empathy for these families and their pain. But I can't stop imagining what it'd feel like if it were MY daughter's name, on a cross mowed over by a violent jerk, assaulting the sacred ground of families' grief.

Freepers: Imagine the name of YOUR child, your spouse, your parent, your best friend on a cross in this picture. Imagine what this image does to the family of Jason C. Ford. How can anybody be so cruel.

1. How very "christian" of the driver
to support our troops in such a mannner. My heart goes out to the families of our murdered soldiers. In one way I hope they see this picture and are outraged, on the other hand, imagine the sense of despair their mothers will feel when they see how the bushies are "supporting the troops".

2. Someone should take a close up of each of those names...
That is how they have been dishonored.

4. I'm an atheist. The cross symbol means nothing to me
I wish they had come up with a symbol that stood for all the soldiers lost, such as American flags or empty boots.

5. There are small American Flags in the ground with the crosses.

There are also flowers and a few pair of boots. Here's a pic I took on Sunday:

6. I can't see it
My partner, who is an atheist, served during the last Gulf War. It would be extremely upsetting to have a symbol with his name on it driven over like a piece of trash. But it would be equally upsetting to see his name tied to a religious symbol.
