Cindy Support Rally pics (yesterday) Whoops, mad Freeps.
About 40 to 50 people showed up, and we streched out behind a string with black ribbions for about 1/2 mile along a busy road near a big intersection.

Some Freeper types were obviously pissed, I got the finger several times. I thought one lady was going to require an emergency tranquilization. I can't understand why, but it might have something to do with my sign. I got the idea from a pic I saw from Camp Casey posted here. The wording is close but not quite identical to it.

Here are a couple folks at a gathering after the rally. I like the sign on the right.

Those on our side of the string are a lot nicer, (and better looking also)

8. My sign was the first one
The one that said "Would Christ condemn a grieving mom just to support a Presidents lies".

Several people really got fired up over that. One lady gave me the perpetual finger while screaming at me out her window. I really did think we were gonna have to make a call for a tranquilizer dart.

I wonder if she stopped to rationally consider her position. What makes war such a good thing? Especially one of aggression.

13. The fun part was watching people read it.
Several were furious, but many many more read it and I could see a look of pondering come across their face. They were actually thinking about what it ment.

One lady was wiping her eyes as she waved and honked.

I got the idea from a picture I saw from camp Casey that was posted here. It said something very similar, but I can't remember the exact wording. I did add the "Christ" part, I wanted to challange the local religious people who seem to be stacked up like cordwood for bush.

7. That sign was a good one
It was in Northern Michigan. The northwest part of the lower penninsula. That tummy in the black tee shirt on the right of the picture that you refered to belongs to a rather famous soul. He wanted to remain anonymous in the pic because he gets enough shit as it is.

15. Here is the local news paper report.

Record-Eagle photo
Paul Wallace of Traverse City and Bill Childs of East Tawas hold one of many signs that greeted motorists from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday near the busy Grandview Parkway and Division intersection. "Why did I come all this way? Because I don’t believe in this war," Childs said. The demonstration was organized by the local Mideast: Just Peace group. About 50-60 anti-Iraq War demonstrators showed up to show their support of Cindy Sheehan, who refuses to leave the road leading to President George Bush’s Texas ranch until he gives her some answers about the war in Iraq where her son was killed.
