At this rate we will be at $3.00 by the end of the week.

Kansas City, Missouri - even more expensive in Kansas as they have a higher gas tax.

4. Hey I'm down ten hours on the schedule this month...
With less hours I buy less gas. But the economy is fine, inflation is in check, except at supermarkets where they don't measure it.

6. My cheap NC station up from $2.44 Sunday to $2.58 today, others are higher
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 01:58 PM by wishlist
Most stations around Asheville N.C. are in $2.60's after another runup last night. I am cutting back on all unnecessary driving now that an hour's drive eats up over $5.

8. Ours jumped .28 in two days. People around here are getting pissed.
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 02:11 PM by converted_democrat
I had to stand in line the other day to pay for gas behind 6 or 7 other people, and everyone of them said something about it or nodded in agreement while the others were bitching. The only way to make money around here is to own your own business, EVERYTHING else is minimum wage. (with the exception of doctors, nurses, and lawyers) People are really afraid that they will not be able to afford to get to work, let alone pay their bills.

on edit-- The experience I had at the gas station was before the latest jump, so I would assume there are even more pissed off people today.
