Are gas prices being used as Psy-ops by this administration? |
|
They raise them up to put everyone in a frenzy and then lower them to make everyone think Bush is trying to do something? All the while they are steadily creeping upward..but after paying $2.50, we are glad to see them at $2.30. Take for instance diesel prices. They have been steadily going up when the processing prices for diesel should make it the lowest priced fuel. In the 70's, diesel powered vehicles were being developed because of the refining process. Now today, as I look out my window, the gas station across the street has Regular $2.57/g and diesel at $2.57/g when diesel has been .20-.30 higher. I have no doubt that there is a think tank that is just getting a kick out of playing with the commoners and seeing how they react and what is an acceptable level of fucking to us.

that they're driving the market. It shouldn't surprise us that the oil companies made such record profits last year.
