CRAWFORD, Texas - Antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, is moving her camp closer to President Bush’s Texas ranch.

The piece of private property was offered by a relative of a man who had fired a shotgun in frustration over the protests, a source in the Sheehan camp said. The property owner is also a veteran.

“A neighbor of President Bush’s has offered us his land,” the source said. “It’s got plenty of acreage for us, it’s private land, we would have legal permission to be on it, it’s much closer to the ranch — in fact it’s across the street from his (Bush’s) church.”

3. Oh no
Larry Mattlage will be aiming birdshot at his nephew.

Or, Larry's nephew offered the space because he knew Larry was about to go apeshit on some hippies ;)

7. not at all from what i understand...
just from reading excerpts of interviews with the man that were reposted here on du. he doesn't like bush. in one excerpt in particular he stated something like he couldn't say what he thought about bush because he was afraid the secret service would deem him a threat and confiscate his ranch.

from my understanding of many people like him (relatives and others), i believe i know what this man wants...it is very simple...and funny...and i don't fault him for wanting it.

get ready...it's coming...

he wants to stand out on his front porch at night, drink beer, listen to the crickets, coyotes, and frogs, and take a piss without going back inside.

2. EXCELLENT!
A veteran offers use of his land. And even better, the counterprotesters (the "we don't care" cabal) can go PHUCK THEMSELVES in the ditch. LOL. Applause and cheers for the brave veteran.

If the Freepers come across his land he has the right to shot them (G. Gordon Liddy says so!)

8. The closest church I can find on Google Earth
is Canaan Baptist Church, and Bush has attended there, although he's officially a Methodist. It's not much closer mile-wise, but just two turns from the road * lives on. As you face the church, go left to the end of the road, about a quarter of a mile, take the first right after that until you're at the ranch. I wonder if * will go to church on Sunday? I'll bet there will be room for visitors. :-)
