Local Political Leader Joins 'Peace Mom'
Ferlo To Promote National March In Sept.
WPXI.COM, August 16, 2005

PITTSBURGH -- A local political leader traveled to Texas Tuesday to join a mother's anti-war crusade. State Sen. Jim Ferlo went to join Cindy Sheehan in her mission to speak with President George W. Bush. Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, has been protesting outside of Bush's Texas ranch since Aug. 6.

Ferlo, a former Pittsburgh City Council member, talked with Channel 11 Tuesday.
He said it is important for him to support Sheehan and support her opposition to the war.
Ferlo said he wants to promote a national march on Washington, D.C., on Sept. 24.
