|
That cartoonist thinks it's the height of humor to call someone a bad name.

7. Yeah - but my paper runs Mallard Fillmore bt Doonesbury & Boondocks |
|
I have to avert my eyes lest I ruin the start of my day wondering how anyone could mistake that for humor.

9. RW's attempting humor is like someone trying to kill a fly with a cruise |

missile. They have absolutely no grasp of subtlety.

They think that to be funny, you have to hit the audience hard between the eyes right after telegraphing that it's coming.
That second panel is a dead giveaway of what's to come.

couldn't locate a joke if they tunneled through the vaults of Bob Hope and Milton Berle side by side.
They think wit was a beautiful Commie skater in the 80s.
Everything Bruce Tinsley scribbles winds up looking like a foot puppet.

|
he goes on hannity all the time whining about aaron mcgruder, who, unlike him is an original creator and not some hack with a hand-me-down strip

19. The original "Nancy," drawn by Ernie Bushmiller, was brilliant. |
|
It was the quintessential comic strip, a beautiful clean look and a one-gag format; adult minds in the characters of children. After Bushmiller's death it was passed around to a couple of different hacks, but of course it was never the same.
