I remember reading about a group of German women... |

that saved their Jewish husbands in Berlin, late in WWII, from certain death at the hands of the nazis? Has anyone else heard of this? I have just been reading all the Cindy Sheehan posts, and her actions have reminded me of this heroic act.

It is the prime example to show that the Nazis were in fact not able to do anything - many could have been saved had the people shown more civil courage. There is a pretty recent movie about the incident as well. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0006IIKRQ/002-9556150-5727252?v=glance
