1. No way they can before the 2006 elections. That would be it for the
Republican party.

11. Exactly
Remember Bush's whole volunteer army thing? They can't do one or people will be pissed off. And it'll go against the whole "they volunteered" nonsense from them. If they do ever do one it'll happen after the 2006 elections. But last I've been hearing they're planning to pull out in 2006. Of course it'll be some phoney show and won't really pull out. Just a few here and there I'm sure (like the Saddam topple thing).

2. How do you spell draft? M I H O P.
Too many similarities to 4 years ago. Death Valley-esque poll ratings, crappy economy for main street, Iraq becoming an embarassment, Republican supporters jumping ship . . . I'd be increasingly weary of a PNACatastrophe if I were in a major city. Already reports of nuclear terror drills. CT, you all say? Don't put ANYthing past this bunch of voevods. 9/11 was only a prequel. They'll rule the world and they'll be damned if powerless peasants like us are going to stop them.

10. actually, I come down more on the FIOP side of things . . .
as in Facilitated It On Purpose . . . kind of a middle ground . . . more proactive than LIHOP, but less all-encompassing than MIHOP . . .

actually, it doesn't really matter which one it was . . . they all constitute treason . . .

People really joined the military after 9/11. I wouldn't put it past them. But then remember what Cheney said about voting for the wrong person last year? So would they get a backlash or would it work?
Looking at Bush's poll numbers and the support they'll probably pull a London which is scary to think about because these people do a bang.

5. The Department of Defense
will be starting a training and employment program for those who can not get jobs out of high school or are long term unemployed. Its not a draft.

6. Another significant event.
Bush will go before the nation with the same crap propaganda we heard during the run-up for war with Iraq.

.."freedom", "they hate us for our freedom", "better to fight them there than here" Yada, yada, yada...

We don't have enough troops to fight the elusive enemy.

13. If they do it, it'll be after November 2006.
Then Bush can flush his own party down the toilet, after they've helped him flush everything else.
