BUSH SILENTLY OBSERVES THE DESECRATION OF HIS WAR DEAD.
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 11:50 PM by understandinglife
The sociopathic torturer of innocents; the vaporizer of children; the slaughterer of our brave soldiers; the first super-power war criminal of the 21st Century rides his hobby-horse of a bicycle while more die and a jerk destroys a memorial to those who gave their life for the ideals of America.

Indict and prosecute the war criminal and all his accomplices.

America's path to restoration leads inexorably through The Hague.

Are you with America, or against it?

We know what side Bush and his fellow neoconsters are on - the question is, what side are YOU on?

You have until Sept 24, 2005 to decide. It will be irrevocable, thereafter.

p.s. I am inspired by this excellent post:

These evil, maniacal monsters are not American. They are treasonous thugs. They are traitors to their countrymen and women! Imposters posing as Republicans.

Actions have consequences. It is time to hold these murderous bastards accountable. Period.

11. The Oregonian: "The exodus of grief and anger to Crawford"
The exodus of grief and anger to Crawford

by Steve Duin

August 16, 2005

<clip>

DeFord first met Sheehan in Florida last October when both worked on a get-out-the-vote campaign. Since Sheehan formed Gold Star Families for Peace, the two women have grown quite close, staying in each other's homes when DeFord travels to the Bay Area or Sheehan journeys to the Pacific Northwest.

"I have never met anyone so determined, so calm, so rational and so well-spoken under these circumstances," DeFord said.

<clip>

"The minute I read the article, I said I should be there to support her," Bradach said. "There should be many more mothers there."

This pair will tote backpacks and a tent into the sauna of summer in Texas and onto the firing range of those who scream these families aren't "supporting the troops." "We're in Bush country," Bradach said. "There will be a lot of detractors, people saying we aren't patriots. I'd like to know what they've given up.

The truth will prevail, thanks to these brave, patriotic American mothers.

Peace.

14. One mother for sure won't be joining Ms. Sheehan
'The minute I read the article, I said I should be there to support her," Bradach said. "There should be many more mothers there." '

Yes--the clear thinking ones. Did anyone else happen to see the news last night (Monday) on what station I know not, cuz I never watch TV news. However, I was flipping through the channels when suddenly I saw the images of two women who were being interviewed. It seems the two females--now get this--were a mother/daughter TEAM heading for Iraq. What mother serves as a role model by taking her daughter--or son into war--an illegal one at that. I didn't stick around to get the details--the very idea is abhorrent and aberrant. That's NO mother!!

16. I saw them too, and it disgusted me. The mother was thrilled that
she had passed the med exam, and they are on their way to Kuwait. To me, it seemed like more of the psyops that NBC has been so good of late.

13. Larry Johnson: "The clueless right wing is up in arms ...."
THE RIGHT WING BULLY BOYS vs. MOM

byLarry C. Johnson

August 16, 2005

The clueless right wing is up in arms over the momentum of the Cindy Sheehan anti-war movement. There appears no depth they will not plumb, nor mudpit they will not enter in their effort to smear a mother who gave her son in service to our country. I cannot award a Chutzpah prize because there are too many deserving schmucks.

<clip>

If her son had died during an operation to kill Bin Laden than Cindy would at least have the peace of mind to know that her son died trying to make America safer. Instead, her son died in Iraq in an operation whose rationale still remains unclear. But we now know for certain that at least one of the President's claims, i.e., that we are "fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here", is no longer true. Instead of a safer America the President has made America at greater risk of a terrorist attack by the Islamic extremists who struck our shores almost four years ago. Since 9-11 the number of international terrorist attacks have soared to unprecedented levels. Last year, for example, there were almost 700 separate terrorist attacks in which someone was killed or wounded. This marks the highest level of terrorist activity since data was first recorded in 1968.

So, as of today, Cindy Sheehan's son is dead along with the sons and daughter of almost 1900 other families. The insurgency in Iraq is growing in strength and level of international terrorism is growing. That Cindy Sheehan is angry should not surprise us. That all Americans are not up in arms over the recklessness of George Bush should.

That's clear.

Peace.

17. Our NUMBERS are growing!
Host your own Vigil for Cindy Sheehan event! (or attend one)
Right now, there are 1400 gatherings planned. :patriot: <http://political.moveon.org/pac/event/events/create.html?action_id=24>

Wow this number is UP from 900 when I recived the e-mail yesterday.
Also if you check various zip codes the attendances in even smaller communities seems pretty good- hpefully folks will post signs too in some places and folks will just show up.
I also strongly reccomend contacting LOCAL and other media aboutcovering these gatherings.

22. "Ms. Sheehan found her voice and put action behind it."
We needed (and still need) someone like her – someone that asks a simple question and keeps asking and keeps us focused.

In other words, Cindy Sheehan persists. She speaks out. She risks arrest. She is not afraid.

As one blog reader put it, she is one “gutsy lady,” whose “Gaelic name – O’Siochain – means peace.”

And perhaps it is this peaceful persistent woman that has dragged us from our torpor and helped us find our own voices, which if the comments are any measure, we are finding with more surety.

The 'noble cause' that Casey Sheehan's lost life has served is that it motivated his brave mother to try and save America and humanity from the criminal Bush regime.

Peace.
