I missed Hersh on The Daily Show - and was reading some recent posts here.

What Tet offensive was Hersh talking about??? Can anyone enlighten me?

He basically said that he expects a TET offensive Iraqi style possibly on the green zone!! Wish he could have been on longer.It repeats 8p.m. EST

3. The Tet Offensive
Happened during the Vietnam War - it was a major military offensive by the Vietcong - it produced some stunning visuals, and it appeared that the Vietnamese were winning - it galvanized opposition to the war who argued that this offensive showed that we needed to pull out.

Ironically the Vietcong over-extended. They were weaker after this offensive.
