American Workers should also demand a FIVE WEEK VACATION
Let's see, Bush gets about as long a vacation as many work places offer their employees in Europe. They understand the pressures of working and believe in giving their employees a true vacation. Not in America--that is unless you are a lazy chimp who was selected President by his conservative cronies on the US Supreme Court--who, by the way, get to enjoy a full Summer vacation.

I think it would be funny and apt if the American Labor Movement would begin to demand five week vacations for their employees and use Bush as the example.

3. Outstanding idea!
And if Dumbyass doesn't think we need it, he should try feeding his family on the wages of someone who works as a cashier in a grocery store and has a waitress job to make ends meet.

4. Petition: the George W. Bush Paid Vacation Act
TO: Democratic Members of the House of Representatives
FR: The People

I humbly request that you propose legislation that will entitle all full-time workers in the United States to five weeks of paid vacation time.

George W. Bush has taken a five week vacation, the longest Presidential vacation in 36 years and the 49th of his Presidency. President George W. Bush has spent 20% of his terms in office on vacation. The country is at war.

If the President of the United States is indeed one of our peers, hard-working American citizens should be entitled to as much vacation as our Chief Executive.

UPDATE: 450 SIGNATURES IN 12 HOURS!

PLEASE FORWARD THE URL OF THIS PETITION TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FULL-TIMERS!

5. If I screwed up my job the way he has screwed up his, I'd expect
a permanent vacation.

6. You are kidding, right? Most people would not take it.
Americans already work overtime without proper compensation. Many people do not get vacation until they have worked for a year. Many others end up with vacation days at the end of the year that simply expire. Many employers--retailers and some university departments for instance--have huge blackout dates when employees cannot take off.

Corporate AmeriKKKa loves the myth of the Protestant work ethic...blessings come to those who work hard. Sometimes, many times even, sure. But many times, people break their backs their whole lives--because it is the moral thing to do in addition to needing to feed their families--only to end up dead broke and unemployable in their "golden years."

9. Great idea, but I think it needs to start with Americans getting
SOME paid vacation to begin with. A great many of us don't.
