The guy is just totally pragmatic about the whole thing and it's really refreshing to hear a practical and caring Texan extend himself and his property in this situation. He's not getting involved politically. He just saw an uncomfortable dilemma that he could easily remedy through generosity with some minor conditions (regarding the cows).

It's really cool and too funny.
