Here's my take on Camp Sheehan
On Monday, Jon Stewart did a great job of pointing out just how hypocritical the corporate media is and how they're doing their best to smear Sheehan at every turn possible, the highlight of which was one Fox News pundit calling her a crackpot. And that's just because Sheehan wants the same thing that everyone else wants - answers straight from the man himself. But, when you compare what's happening with Camp Sheehan to what happened a couple of months ago, during the Terri Schiavo fiasco, the media (including that same pundit who called her a crackpot) painted the Schindler's as saints because the Schindlers sided with the religious conservatives.

Now how would the media have reacted if Sheehan was a republican? The talking heads on Fox "News", CNN, and MSNBC are only looking at the fact that she has sided with the likes of Michael Moore and moveon.org, two enemies of the Republican party. If Sheehan was a Republican, however, the media would be painting her as a saint and they would be trying to turn this into a religious issue, just like the Schiavos vs. the Schindlers.

Really, attacking her because she was divorced or that she was a flip-flopper or that she sided with Michael Moore, this is just getting ridiculous. The corporate media can (and will) do just about anything to bury a story that could potentially hurt shrub and Camp Sheehan is a perfect example. Does anyone have a rifle so I can shoot a hole through my television?

1. I found a 12.5 EEE hiking boot to be an acceptable substitute.

3. I keep asking myself how they can keep saying
that Cindy "Sided with MoveOn and Michael Moore" when it was Moore and MoveOn that sided with Cindy. The media wasn't getting enough legs out of Aruba so they decided to go after Cindy. Probably under marching orders from the Chimp or Rove. Well gotta go, there's a candlelight vigil waiting for me!!!!

4. It wouldn't matter if Cindy were a Republican
Many prominent Republicans have spoken out against Bush** and his policies; each and every one gets smeared and blown off as a "tool of the Left" if they don't step back into line. Their patriotism is questioned, their past performance is scrutinized, their reputations shredded. Once the Right nullifies a dissenter in this manner they're never seen on the 'liberal media' again.

The rule is simple. If you're not 100% supportive of Bush your opinion doesn't count. You're just an entertaining crackpot.

Is it fascism yet?

5. And what is the problem with Michael Moore?
All he did was expose this administration for the crooks they are with his movie work. I just heard Ed Schultz make a snide remark to a caller in that the Republicans had Rev. Phelps and we had Michael Moore. How can one compare Michael Moore to a worm like the Rev. Phelps? I thought Schultz was supposed to be on our side. Also, I thought Phelps was a Democrat, not a Republican. Yes, as hard as it is to swallow, apparently he's one of us.

10. Fred Phelps is a fundamentalist wacko, first and foremost...
but he is also a registered Democrat.

9. The rethugs have been trying to destroy Moore and anyone who associates...
with him for a long time now. Read Al Franken's book. Or if you want, read Manhands Coulter's latest piece of trash.
