Medicaid/Federal Budget experts ... help |
|
in an email fight with a freeper and I need some facts to battle this:
If you bothered to check about recent Federal budgets, you'd know that Federal payments for medicaid have not been cut but have had hefty increases annually. Democrats cannot have it both ways. On the one hand they complain that Republicans in Congress have been spendthrifts, on the other hand, they say that Republicans are cutting domestic spending which is factually incorrect.
I really want to stick it to this fool

1. Go to per person numbers and note that "hefty increases" are less than |
|
medical cost inflation.
Also note that the Fed is paying so much money that states must kick people off the medicaid rolls so as to stay within budget - or strip benefits formerly paid by medicaid out of the current year Medicaid budget.
Then reference Tenn - care (Tennessee) and a few other states and tell the idiot that the GOP are responsible for putting more people into poverty, so they should agree to spend the extra money required for the needs of the newly poor.
