There were 80 plus assorted Americans supporting Cindy Sheehan at the Butler, PA County Courthouse Square tonight. At least 1/2 were from the Vietnam era - many gray-haired couples, and a good number of parents with toddlers/small kids in tow.
It was very good to spend time quietly speaking about the serious problems in the US and Iraq, with people who are well-read, well-informed, well-educated and like-minded.
We ended the evening singing America the Beautiful, and I think we all felt motivated to keep up the good fight - hope our actions give Mrs. Sheehan a boost too.
PS. And there was a fair amount of Santorum bashing too.
