All the people...ALL the people...who trash Cindy Sheehan...
...are terrified.

Terrified.

Exposed.

Busted.

Frustrated.

And scared.

Let them talk.

22. I still hate that rationale
By that reasoning, the lady in my hometown who lost her son and is insanely pro-war can't be questioned either.

24. Of course
When did I say otherwise?

My issue with this has always been, "Why is her opinion worth more than mine?" I have a lot of opinions. But if I camped out in front of the president's house, I probably just get 72 hours of observation.

8. Bingo!
It's one thing to exercise your right to free speech by stating opposing views, it's another to bash a lady who has the same right. But then, they have no logical argument for murder, do they? All they have are personal digs that are meaningless. Yet you don't dare call Bush a coke-headed drunk who wasted more brain cells than he has left.

and they are starting to realize it - i mean they don't want to realize it - they don't want to have to face up to what they ahve done - and so they must destroy those who question.

6. Definitely. The more they talk, the more heartless they sound.
They're exposing themselves to the general public for the soulless creatures that they truly are. And even they are starting to see that their act has worn very thin.

Let them talk.

14. You justed posted what I was thinking txindy.
Every time I hear or read one of those repukes trashing Cindy, I think how heartless, how callous, how cruel and vicious they seem. She lost her son for crying out loud, don't they have any feelings??

But that is just it, they don't have any feelings, they can't understand the black hole of grief Cindy has gone through. I don't mind them disagreeing but when they trash Cindy they look like monsters.

Then I think how they want my son to enlist and I think will they treat me like that when I lose my son? Will they make me out to be a shrew, too, when I cry over his remains? Will they lambaste me for objecting to his death like they do Cindy?

The answer is sadly yes.

10. The desecrated crosses in Camp Casey show their true colors. It is so
shameful, but indicative of the mean spirited right.

We had a guy show up at our vigil last night wearing a "Camp Gitmo" (rush limbaugh) tee. We also had an egg thrown at us. they are a disgrace not only to America but to humanity. :(

18. they know she's the tipping point
The venom they're spewing is like the final eruption from a dying volcano - they know the majority of the public doesn't support this war, and if the numbers go even lower the permanent occupation won't be sustainable. They're pissed that a lil' ol' woman can single-handedly destroy their imperialistic romp.

It's also undermining the build up to their aggression in Iran. Yes, it's no wonder they're squealing, and I expect it to get even more vicious in the days ahead.

20. Their world is cashing down around them
Link: Why Bush Believes His Lies

What was described in the article on the Huffington post from the author of "bush on the couch" isn't just a good description of bush's psychology but, I think, indicative of the entire republican base's condition (or if you prefer, disorder). Living in an entirely false ego driven world requires large amounts of bullshit, from fox, from talk radio, from conservitive blogs and from the politicians themselves.

Cindy represents the opposite, Cindy is getting attention and Cindy is making them confront their own warped world-view.

Psychoanalytic theory suggests that Bush's true enemy is an aspect of himself -- the overwhelming anxiety he works so hard to manage. For Bush, lying remains a central defense mechanism in managing his fears; he lies foremost to himself, altering his perception of external or internal reality to fulfill his psychic need to maintain order. His anxiety is so great that he cannot shift his thinking to account for new information --especially the fact that patriotic families of patriotic soldiers demand that he speak with them.

Taking responsibility has always been hard for George W. Bush. And taking responsibility for inflicting harm on others, a major step in the development of maturity, is a step President Bush has yet to make. Instead, he persists in lying to himself, surrounding himself with people who agree with him. And now he is not safe even inside his own closed circle.

I think for bush's followers the problem is on the opposite end of the spectrum, they need to believe the bullshit to continue living in their fantasy world. If the bullshit goes away so does the world they are so comfortable living in.

26. we have the momentum
They are caught off guard and running scared.

Now is the time to hit them hard with the truth.

We need to keep at them with the Downing street minutes. We have proof that they lied! They lied to us, they lied to congress. What kind of people lie to sell a war that results in the deaths of over 100,000 innocent civilians, and then act like it was in their best interest?

We need to continue to bring up their hypocrisy about supporting the troops.

Here is a couple of slideshows of the damage we have done, set to audio of the lies that the Bush Administration told in the run up. These would be great to show to coworkers who are still...confused....

31. Who would question the people who attack Sheehan?
after all, her son only died while fighting an illegal war that killed thousands and failed to uncover any evidence of WMDs, and has not quelled terrorism, in fact has only bred more of it, and has resulted in even the bush admistration questioning how we will effectively instill democracy in Iraq.

Other than that, it's bee na worthwhile war...
