FAUX NEWS: More Evidence 9/11 Was Bill Clinton's Fault

Lt. Col. Patterson, author of Dereliction of Duty, says that former President Bill Clinton was responsible for that attacks of 9/11. Patterson says Clinton had more meetings with Monica than with the advisors trying to warn him about Bin Laden's plan to attack.

Once again, Bush is vindicated. The man can do nothing wrong!

:sarcasm:

1. Is this the same Bill Clinton that tried and tried to tell
everyone about bin Laden and no one would listen?

3. Blame Clinton
Supposedly, Atta was identified in the summer of 2000, while Clinton was still in office, and it was the Clinton administration that did not wish for the intelligence units to share the information. What is not mentioned however, is that only a few months later, George Bush became President-elect, and immediately after, he began receiving intelligence briefings. For the next 9 months until 9/11 occurred, it was President Bush that was receiving the same intelligence briefings that President Clinton had received, and Bush chose not to take action on the matter as well. If the above facts that Fox gives are true, then it is not only Clinton that bears responsibility, but also Bush because he did not move on the matter either once he was in office.

2. And Bush had how many meetings with his advisors about....
bin Laden? You could count them on the fingers of a double amputee.

4. Odd, how do they explain Newsweek's 2/22/99 article . . .
(no link, I'm transcribing it myself):

-----------

On the Run: Bin Laden

Where is Osama Bin Laden? Just days after U.S. officials delivered the "bluntest message yet" that Washington believed attacks by bin laden on U.S. citizens could be imminent and that the Clinton administration would hold Afghanistan "directly responsible" if they occurred, the Saudi terrorist apparently fled his sanctuary in the Taliban's spiritual capital, Kandahar. "Our guest has gone missing," said a Taliban spokesman. "We did not order him to leave; we do not know where he has gone." U.S. officials did not immediately confirm whether bin Laden had left the country, but said that at a Feb. 3 meeting, they received the most positive response so far to U.S. pressure. Washington has offered a $5 million reward for his capture for masterminding last August's bombings in Kenya and Tanzania. U.S. and Arab intelligencesources said a likely destination was Somalia, where bin Laden has connections to radical fundamentalists.

-----------

Gee, he was on the run in 1999 . . . go figure.

5. No Link
It was on "FAUX & Enemies" this morning. If anyone can find a transcript of the interview with Patterson, please post it.

6. No, I was saying that I don't have a link for the Newsweek article
I have the issue in front of me and had typed that article in last night straight from the original magazine.
