Oklahoma City, OK • Vigil in Support of Cindy Sheehan • Pictures
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 10:01 AM by Stand and Fight

The young...

The old...

Musicians and artist entertained us with song.

Brought to you by Code Pink. Truth to power indeed!

Quite a cross-section of people!

On the steps of the Capital Building in OKC.

Local politicians got involved as well.

Billions for Peace. Not War!

Bush is losing support even in the red, red state of Oklahoma. :bounce:

The local media even made an appearance!

Activist and OSU fan. Good guy.

Me (w/ camera) with the organizer of the event. Stand and fight!

Is the sun setting on the Bush presidency? Are the American people waking up to unite?

Begin lighting the candles to show your support.

True patriots -- Support the troops. Bring them home now!

My wife -- can you find her? She's in one of the pictures above...

America the beautiful - sex, race, or lifestyle choice don't matter there. We will get our America back. Indeed.

The organizer of the event, LCW, and a gentleman representing Peace House of OKC. It was a stunning success when they only expected 50 people -- they got around 220!

We ended with a rousing chorus of "We shall overcome." And we will.

5. I'm a transplant from Las Vegas, so I understand.
It was very good for my heart to know that the heartland has hope of waking up! We may be fewer in number here, but our conviction and passion makes up for that.

7. I've always suspected that and been comforted in knowing
that if this band of thugs ever woke the "sleeping tiger" it would really feel the wrath! But it's taken so long to awaken that I can't help but worry that they now hold too many of the cards (no LasVegas pun intended, lol) and the damage will be devastating to too many in the world!
