Guy arrested for threatening at Camp Casey, impersonating fed officer
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 10:32 AM by DeepModem Mom
CNN just reported this. Clip of young guy in police car -- he flashed a big smile, made him look like someone out of "Deliverance."

On edit: If anyone else hears more on this, please post. It was characterized as a minor incident -- may not make the wires.

2. Isn't that typical.
Yep, repukes break the law when it suits their 'purposes'. Impersonating a federal officer is a very serious offense. I'm certainly interested to see that repukes are approving of major felonies. Getting soft on crime there, repugs?

4. You hit the nail on the head ...
The disruptor's that have shown up at Camp Casey all "look like someone out of 'Deliverance'."

They elicit an instinctual response of fear and revulsion. (Fear stemming from the feeling that they DO NOT act in accordance with accepted norms of human decency)

.
I saw that crazed smile as well. He looked dangerous and unbalanced. Too much kool-aid, no doubt.

7. Did they say "impersonating federal officer," or just...
that he said he was Secret Service? Same thing, it would seem to me.

or something very close to that language.

13. Why do chickenhaws like to play dress up so much?
The right wing radio host who protested Cindy has a photo of him wearing a military suit yet he never served. Now some freak show is dressing up like a federal officer? Nuts.

so he went plain-clothes.

16. Guy? Guy James? Guy Fleegman?
Don't you mean "dude"?

Then again, a comedian said the chief meaning of the word "dude" is "you blew it". And my 1966 dictionary says "an easterner who vacations on a ranch".

KWTX Waco:
California Man Arrested Near Bush Ranch After Protesters Threatened

Charges were pending Thursday morning against a California man who was arrested Thursday morning after protesters were threatened at “Camp Casey,” the site where anti-war demonstrators have gathered near the President’s Central Texas ranch.

The man told deputies he was a Secret Service agent, officials said, but he wasn’t.

Complaints including making a terroristic threat and impersonating a peace officer are pending.

It was the third incident involving protesters since Sunday, when a nearby landowner fired a shotgun blast that startled demonstrators and Secret Service agents alike.

The man told reporters he was simply preparing for the start of dove hunting season....

21. Remember when that was a big deal and a criminal offense?
Impersonating a cop, a soldier/officer, the Secret Service . . .

Now, if you do it to harass liberals, you are likely to get your own talking head show . . .
