When did Bush say that it was important for him to get on with his life? |
|
Was that in response to Cindy Sheehan's request to meet with him, or in regards to something else?
I'm starting to draft an LTTE, thanks

1. And the bushwhacker has |
|
a life(such as it is) to GET ON WITH! Casey Sheehan DOES NOT..thanks to the LIES that rove/bush/cheney/rice/rummy/powell/all the corporate media drummed into the populace's empty heads.

4. After the "get on with my life" quote |
|
I was planning on my next sentence being something like, "too bad Casey Sheehan cannot get on with his life. Too bad nearly 2,000 other soldiers and upwards of 100,000 Iraqis can no longer get on with their lives, either."

according to this link: http://www.al.com/news/birminghamnews/wire.ssf?/base/news/1124011285247770.xml&coll=2"CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush, noting that lots of people want to talk to the president and "it's also important for me to go on with my life," on Saturday defended his decision not to meet with the grieving mom of a soldier killed in Iraq.
Bush said he is aware of the anti-war sentiments of Cindy Sheehan and others who have joined her protest near the Bush ranch.
"But whether it be here or in Washington or anywhere else, there's somebody who has got something to say to the president, that's part of the job," Bush said on the ranch. "And I think it's important for me to be thoughtful and sensitive to those who have got something to say."
"But," he added, "I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life..."
