1. Yes they did
They ran against a republican candidate in '96. They forcefully and successfully confronted a known evil, and beat it.

3. A friend of mine just sent me this yesterday...
"For when they start to blame Clinton"

http://www.cnn.com/US/9607/30/clinton.terrorism/

I don't listen to O'Reilly, but I bet this is the article they are debunking. Just this morning on Ch 11 (Fox - I confess) they were doing the same, saying "Clinton should have done something when he had the chance."

4. Well there's Richard Clarke's book that provides some info on what the
Clinton administration did and tried to do. Without the full cooperation and indeed often outright opposition of the FBI, Pentagon and Congress. No doubt they could have done much more without the turf wars and opposition hindering them.

They passed the torch and Bush dropped it. Now they're blaming Clinton because they won't admit that Bush Administration had no interest in the Clintonista "obsession" with Bin Laden and terra. The Bushies had "other priorities."

5. And thanks to the republican party
in the 90's a large number of the FBI's resources were devoted to investigating lying state troopers in Arkansas, stained blue dresses and dragging 50 dollar bills through trailor parks. Meanwhile terrorists plotted.

9. Bush didn't "drop the torch", he flung it into a garbage dumpster.
Like you said, they had "other priorities".

6. I will never forget how Clinton was crucified
for his supposed "wag the dog" missile strike against "some tents in the desert" in an attempt to take out "some guy named Bin Laden or something"
Absolutely ridiculed and pilloried by the MSM, talk radio, and the GOP smear team. Look up the public record.

7. CNN report yesterday outlined actions Clinton took against Bin Laden
CNN actually had a balanced report shown several times yesterday where they debunked the notion that Clinton ignored the Bin Laden threat. On the contrary, a section of the CIA was set up devoted solely to monitoring Bin Laden, there were targeted bombings of Al Qaeda camps and other actions. They had a top CIA guy under Clinton who talked about all of their efforts against Al Qaeda and he emphasized that Al Qaeda was only one of numerous terrorist groups they were working to thwart.
