So, what'll get rolled out after Labor Day this year?

So, what'll get rolled out after Labor Day this year?
They can't wave the war flag because it is going so badly. This means any "victory" they try to concoct in Iraq will be start to be weighed against the mounting death toll. If they trot out Osama now, it won't have the impact it would have had last year. With Iraq in a quagmire and no news from Afghanistan they'd have to make a really strong case to try and attack another country. Things are starting to spill out and they will need something big.

So what are they going to do to divert the public's attention after Labor Day this year?

1. I'd say the drumbeat against Iran will be stepped up
Followed by bombs away at Xmas. (taking christ out of xmas early)

... the flat tax and Social Security, while Rice, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bolton will be chanting about taking Iran's nuclear issues to the UN.

Fortunately the 15 Aug drills didn't go live. We need to keep watching those drills, though.

6. I guess that's what I'm worried about
They need something big. I'm starting to hear reporters like Tulmulty use the word "scandals" and Bush in the same sentence. And the heat's building.
