Just got back from Crawford
It is an incredible scene and I strongly recommend that any of you who can go - do so.

Muse Rider and I drove down there Tues. We met Dancing Bear and spent a day and a half in Crawford and at Camp Casey.

It is a beautiful event and I am so thankful I was able to witness it.

We got to meet Ed Schultz and talk to him. We also saw Anderson Cooper and shook his hand. And there was a guy from CNN there this morning but none of us could remember his name.

One interesting thing is that there were very few counter protesters. Last night, they had 4 in their group across the road; we had a couple hundred. There were some who drove by camp today going too fast. One slowed down and was taking videos. Another guy in a red truck went barreling down the road in front of the camp - too fast. We heard later that he had been picked up by the police. We also heard that after we left, a guy came to the camp with a small child and was yelling "I hope Ted Kennedy gives Cindy a ride home."

But as loud and as obnoxious and as fast as they were, nothing could dampen the spirits or the enthusiasm of the people there standing with Cindy. They are on a mission and nothing or nobody will stop them.

If you can go, do so. It is one of the most wonderful events I have ever been a part of and I am incredibly thankful I got to be there. THANK YOU MUSE RIDER!!

I took over 100 pictures and as soon as I have time, I will post some of them.

7. My camera broke
I hope I can still download the pics. I will be awfully upset if I can't.

If I have to, I will go buy a new camera that takes my cards. Then I think I can put the card in that camera and download the pics. Does that sound like it will work, tech friend? :)

It was so wonderful. We got to meet Cindy and we just cried. I couldn't think of anything to say to her except to thank her. She is an incredible woman.

32. Those cards are the industry standard. They *should* work in any camera.

34. Got my camera working again
but I may buy another one anyway. I would rather not take mine to school - it is too expensive. I am going to shop for a camera that takes Smart Media cards and isn't as expensive as my Olympus was.

33. Buy a card reader. You can get one for under $25.00 that reads
12 different types of cards. Photo cards are not generic - found that out on our vacation, which is why we bought the card reader. It was Lex??? brand (not Lexmark), but something like that. It's with hubby now or I'd check for you.

I wouldn't buy a camera to match my card. If you're gonna buy a new camera, get one that has the features you really want and will use AND buy a card reader. If they happen to match your current cards, then that's great. We transferred 1200 high-res 5x7 pictures to our computer in less than 10 minutes using the reader.

36. You don't need a whole camera just to do that. There are a lot of card
readers that have slots for all of the standard memory cards, that can plug into your computer's USB port. They're called "6 in 1 card reader" or stuff like that and are not expensive.

9. It is amazing
The bu$hbots could send 100 protesters and they could never begin to defeat what is happening there.

people across America and the World for that matter.

We have had our Hitlers, Francos, Salazars, etc. Do we really need the Neo-Cons of George W. Bush and gang? The only way to stop it to instill a new mind-set.

Ted and Cindy - what in the world has that to do with Iraq?

Typical, mindless rebuttal to the idiocy of George W. Bush

how they always bring poor Teddy in with everything. When they do that I just bring up Laura Bush and her boyfriend.

19. One thing I learned from being there
is that we don't have to play their game. There was something incredibly beautiful and so right about this cause. Last night, they had a peace vigil. We all held candles and Cindy and a few others said a few words.

The 4 bu$hbots across the road looked so helpless. It was almost as if they knew we are on the right side of this issue. So I learned we don't have to talk back to them. Why mimic their hate?

25. I have a feeling that once they make their move . . .
the new location will become permanent, and the hub of anti-war activism . . .

Cindy is making people THINK . . . and that's a new experience for many . . .
