9. I'm running Linux with firefox and it worked just fine for me.
Install mplayer and the mplayer plug-in and it should work just fine. Here's a couple of links:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayerplug-in/

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html

Let me know if you need any more help to get it working.

But I know what you mean about the incompatibility issues dealing with stuff on the web. It can get frustrating at times. But I'd still rather deal with a few issues here and there than have to deal with the Blue Screen Of Death. ;)

10. Hey thanks!
I was unaware of Mplayer. Twas a bit annoying to get running, but thats probably because under usr/lib I have about 4 firefox folders and 3 mozilla folders, and didn't that rpm fail to put the files in the right plugins folder! Works good now though!

11. No problem! Glad to hear you got it working.
Hey, your firefox/mozilla config sounds a lot like mine! I used the tarball for the plugin to avoid the issue with the rpm not putting the plugin in the right directory. But once you know what the problem is, it's an easy fix.
