Iconoclast: Setting up the new Camp Casey today!
Deborah Mathews reporting for The Iconoclast
I spoke with Dianne Wilson who told me that there are three tents up at the new campsite—the huge tent (about 60x180); the cooking tent; and Cindy’s tent. She said that there will be a lot of cooking.

There is also a trailer that was donated for Cindy’s use that is there. Moving is still in progress and the coordinators hope to have completed the majority of it by this evening. Moving will stop during the inter-faith meeting to be held at noon.

Wilson mentioned a man who is a friend of Martin Luther King—someone who marched with MLK—will be at the inter-faith meeting today and they are expecting some singers also.

She did say that Joan Baez will be there on Sunday.

1. Wow. We're not losing any momentum here!
I really feel like this has gotten bigger than Cindy now. This will keep going!

I will be going to Crawford this weekend. :kick: and nominated.

5. I have one thing to say about Joan Baez
She sure knows a peace protest when she sees it.
Could this be the beginning of The Prairie Road to Peace Music Festival of 2005? The place where the tide began to turn?

One can dream....

But seriously I give humble thanks to Joan for coming to support Cindy and hope this *WILL* be the beginning of something big.
I only wish I could be there!!!

6. You and me both. I'm originally from Texas and have never in
my life wanted to go to Crawford, but I would dearly LOVE to be there when Joan is there. What a woman, what a voice. In my mind, Joan is the original sign of peace and I'm tickled to death that she is going to Crawford.
