WHERE'S GEORGE? I Call Bullshit on this "Working Vacation" LIE >>>

George Bush has been out of sight for SIX DAYS. His last appearance was on SATURDAY at the Waco Little League game. He's spending the weekend biking with Lance. On Monday he leaves Crawford to go ON VACATION at an Idaho resort. Why does the press let him maintain this "working vacation" fiction, this "Western White House" lie? He's taking a FIVE WEEK VACATION on OUR DIME while Iraq's in flames and our troops are dying every day. SHAME. And I'd really like to know what he's doing in there, that he can't show his face for this ENTIRE WEEK.

1. Hey, vacation is hard work, ok?
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 01:32 PM by TwilightZone
It's hard work. He's working hard. Because work is hard. And, he's working. Hard.

At what, we have no clue.

Edit: I'm fairly certain that this is the first time I've ever seen anyone take a vacation from his vacation.

5. Sorry to hear of your (un)employment status.
Not to mention that all you've probably heard about on the news during said unemployment is that Bush is on vacation!

7. It's a joke to even think this man has ever really "worked".
He's always "delegated". His "success" in life has been riding on his father's name, insider trading, and manipulating government for personal profit. If Cal Thomas and his ilk want to pine for the good old days of hard work and personal responsbility, the #1 poster boy for a spoiled, lazy, indolent life devoid of responsibility and accountability is reflected in their favorite boy-king.

8. o ye of little faith
he's actually been in the green zone for the last 6 days, hammering out the iraqi constitution, jawboning intransigent parties, and writing whole sections himself where others refuse.

the man is amazing!

i don't have to link the sarcasm simile if i don't want to.

11. As his employers, I think we have a right to know
if he's in there getting trashed, with his finger on the button, I think we have a right to know BEFORE he appears with his face all banged up again. I demand random drug-testing of the president.

12. Damn right we have the right to know!
Even if he's not, he still seems awfully unstable to be that close to the "button".
