The news cycle hasn't heard anything new about Rove, so they've moved on to Roberts. Things don't stop just because they don't get reported. And since grand jury testimoney is secret, there's very little to report. Patience, grasshopper :)

6. Rush is saying that the Plame case has fizzled out |
|
Keep thinking that you putz. It'll make the final outcome so much sweeter.
Apparently Fitz isn't just going to indict Rove, but he's going much deeper than any of us have dreamed. Read that yesterday.

8. Commies? That's about as derogatory |
|
these days as calling us Care Bears. How old is this RWer? 80+? Who's scared of the "commies" these days? Really. With all the home-grown terrorists and foreign terrorists breeding like flies, "commies" seem downright wholesome. Tell your RWer to crawl out of the '50's.

I have a coworker who's an ardent Freeper. Not a bad guy, just pretty insane when it comes to politics. One day we were talking and he made the claim that because I had gone to public school I had been brainwashed by Marxist propaganda because public school teachers are all Marxists; he later said that because I supported progressive taxation i supported class warfare and was therefore a Marxist.
I think it was probably a lot easier for him to make that claim on a message board for a bunch of Freepers. I simply asked him if he'd ever read Marx. Because i had, and i definitely was not a Marxist, under any possible definition of the term. I then pointed out to him that if FDR hadn't passed the "Marxist" New Deal, the Marxists would likely have made huge inroads in this country. After agreeing with me, he looked a little perplexed, and then changed the topic.

I think that approximately 99.9% of the people using the term "commie" or "Marxist" don't actually know what it means. And the other 0.1% are intentionally misusing it.

just follow all the corporate Republicans doin' bidness in COMMUNIST CHINA. Ain't it amazing that the 2 totalitarian regimes could have so much in common? In fact, it looks like our government here is following China's example more than we've changed them to (what was) ours.
