Fights over eminent domain in Cincinnati
"When you say the name Crate & Barrel, you're talking about one of the most desirable retailers in the world. So, two astute developers would -- if both have the opportunity -- be in a tenacious tug of war," marketing consultant Stan Eichelbaum said.

Planners had hoped to have a two-story Crate & Barrel store already in place as part of the retail and commercial complex envisioned to lie just off the Smith Road/Edwards Road exit on Interstate 71.

But the Ohio Supreme Court said it has not decided if it will hear the appeal of holdout homeowners, London said.

least of all the smith/edwards exit.

everytime i go back to my dying hometown, i'm stunned at how much history it will tear down to grovel at the feet of soulless franchise retail.

2. I agree
They tore down some beautiful homes for the developer. I never cared for crate and barrel either. I'm surprised it wasn't for a super walmart.
