3. How the hell could they have been "duped"?
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 06:07 PM by Straight Shooter
She's been there long enough, Camp Casey has been there long enough, that those people knew exactly what was going on.

Someone got to them, you know it, I know it.

edit: oh, I see your follow-up post now. CNN, a/k/a Contains No News, has done it again. x(

21. I saw the guy the other night for the first time and he was speaking
to another person on his program (a woman). They both seemed so unprofessional making fun of the people they were reporting on. What jerks! This sinks CNN lower in my opinion if that is possible.

16. I don't watch CNN anymore
but after reading about Anderson Cooper's Cindy coverage on DU the other day, (didn't see it, just read about it here where real news, not spin is available) I sent him an email.

Got back a standard 'we read everything, but can't reply because we have to take care of the show but your comments WILL be read etc. etc.. Last time I'll bother to write to people who are wilfully deaf and blind. No wonder TV news ratings are dropping by the day.

'The revolution will not be televised' ~ I used to wonder what that meant.

Just look at the Wednesday night vigils all over the country, or the worldwide anti-war demonstrations that brought out historic numbers, in the millions, with ZERO help from the media!!

We don't need them anymore ~ they are becoming more and more irrelevant each and every day.

22. I did watch it and determined that
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 09:39 PM by notadmblnd
it was the peoples' (Harrison, I think their name is) property where Camp Casey was set up originally. But Cooper in his teaser certainly made it sound like it was the people who recently offered Cindy use of their land.

19. My biggest fear when this land was promised was
that it would get them out of the ditch, they would ramrod the legislation through making it illegal for them to protest along that road and then the person that promised the land would evict them and they would have nowhere to go.
I didn't want to show my pessimism, but am wondering if that was the plan.
I wonder if they kept SOME sort of presence in the bar ditches even after they went to the land if that would keep them grandfathered in.
I don't think they could evict them out of the ditch, I just think the next group would not be allowed to protest there.
Just an observation.
I'm sure that Fred has been threatened. If he hasn't been threatened, then he has been paid well not to let them on the land, if that is the case.
