3. Actually, you're neither.
They are certainly wrong about a lot of things.

Being wrong is bad enough. Being wrong in the face of overwhelming evidence proving you're wrong, and then still insisting that you're right, is what they're masters of.

5. Well I think they are
heartless beings, I can't figure out how they go on day after day with no heart. I have been traumatized by these creatures. I now have a new issue. I feel they are not human. :grr:

7. I'll be a Devil's advocate
Republicans believe in lots of good things, too bad they don't PRACTICE what they preach. I dug this out from a while ago:

Republicans believe in personal responsibility, except when it applies to themselves.
Republicans believe in the "Rule of Law", unless the Rule of Law gets in their way.
Republican believe in limited Judicial Power ("Judicial Activism"), unless it is Judicial Activism for something they support.
Republicans believe in "States Rights", unless they have Federal Power to overrule something in a State (or DC) they don't like.
Republicans believe in limited Presidential Executive Privilege, except when a Republican is the President.
Republicans believe you should trust the President unquestionly, as long as the President is a Republican.
Republicans believe in Privacy, except when it comes to a woman's body, sex between consenting adults, and what you read in a library.
Republicans believe that extramarital sex is bad, unless you are a Republican and get caught, then it is a youthful indiscretion.
Republicans believe Homosexuals are OK, but homosexuals acts are bad.
Republicans believe that lying is bad, unless it is about going to War, the Budget, or what you are going to do as President.
Republicans believe lawsuits are bad, unless they need to file a lawsuit to stop the vote count.
Republicans believe in limited government spending, unless it is in their district, State, or for a big campaign contributor.
Republicans believe illegal immigration is bad, except for illegal immigrants who work in their industry for low wages and no benefits.
Republicans believe in supporting the military, except during their youth when they would have to serve.
Republicans believe in a balanced budget, except when they have to do the balancing.
Republicans believe in swift Senate Judicial confirmations, except when a Democrat is President.
Republicans believe criticism of the President is OK, unless the President is a Republican, then it's unpatriotic.
Republicans believe in fighting terrorism unless it limits a person's ability to buy assault rifles.
Republicans believe "Nation Building" is bad, unless they do it.
Republicans believe Filibusters are bad, except when the do it.
Republicans believe all judicial nominees deserve an up and down vote, except then a Democrat does the nominating.
Republicans believe anonymous sources are bad, unless the anonymous source provides information they like.
Republicans believe in a free press, as long as it publishes things they like.

20. This is great...I'm e-mailing it to family and friends. One additional
that comes to mind (though give me some time, and I'm sure I can add to their insanity promoting quagmire of hypocrisies!) is the following:

Republicans believe in"Pro-Life", but love guns, war and the death penalty.

9. Neither....
You just can't think at their low level.

The thing that aggravates me the most, is all of those on the right that have Iraq confused with 9/11. I can not believe what I here from these folks.

I have tried cleaning the wax out of my ears, I have tried turning up the TV, I have tried the volume, tried TV's in other rooms, and I have tried taping them and replaying it to be sure.

It does not matter what I do, it still comes out the same.
"We invaded Iraq to go after those that attacked us."

I think this is where our message has gone wrong. We must find a clear decisive way to convince these people that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Any ideas out there?

19. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.
Everyone knows that, but the sense of revenge (I call it a lynch-mob) desired has left some folks with a thirst for blood. It doesn't matter whose blood.

Then you have the CIC liar leading the mob using Iraq as the focus for revenge.

There is also, I believe, a deep undercurrent in masses of people who really just plain FEAR of Middle easterners. Maybe it is generic, since they have kicked European asses so many times over the course of history?

But basically, I think you can safely call it the American Lynch-mob who can't be reasoned with.

10. I've even heard this from Republicans
you know, the old style Republicans, who believe in no entanglements in foreign wars, a balanced budget, small government. I've read post after post from these people who say what you say, only they change the word "republicans" to "neo-cons" and say their party has been hijacked.

14. No...
...I'd say you're assessment is right on the money. I can't stomach 'em anymore, which is why I'm here and not on Free Republic. Heh - but I had some fun before they kicked me off because I'm too liberal. LOL!

In truth, despite them being 'right', nothing they've done has been right for a very long time. We should coin some other name for them that's more accurate. :) Maybe the crooked party. Or the indicted party. But definately not the right.

18. Who can choose just one? I kid.
Welcome to DU!

And no, the Republicans are so deep in their own irony that they shouldn't be able to breathe. If you suffer from symptoms of upset in response to such insanity, it merely means that you are okay. Your reaction is normal. They are capable of only following their agenda, no matter how far it places them from reality.

Consider the amount of money they'd make solely on "privatizing" social security. It's a tremendous amount of money and control they'd gain; their behaviour reflects an any means neccessary agenda.

We'll likely hear about SS again, after the 2006 elections. I doubt that they will let such money out of their potential grasp.
