Why the hell did Chris Matthews have to take off... |
|
...and leave a Bushbot bimbo to host his show? Up until this week Hardball has been the only show on the corporate cable that has treated the Cindy Sheehan story fairly and in the sympathetic light she deserves.
Wednesday's show was a total Cindy bash only interrupted by the amusing straight-faced lies from a chimpster spokeswoman. But last night I became so disgusted when this "guest host" started spouting the same bullshit rethug lines of "She's meet with the president once already", "She's against Israeli" and "she said won't pay her taxes", I had to turn it off and couldn't watch the rest of the show.
Who the hell is this Bush mouthpiece (I can't even remember her name) and why pick such a hack to guest host a show that is one of the only ones willing to present those on our side of the war and in a fair manner?
I haven't seen tonight's yet (I only watch the rebroadcasts late at night in work), but I hope she's not back again. Where's David Gregory when you need him?

The end was pretty good. Gregory's much better than Tweety IMO.

5. Matthews' father died. |

He was back the day after it happened, but my guess is that's why he's off now.

6. Tweety completely sucks |
|
"Who the hell is this Bush mouthpiece (I can't even remember her name) and why pick such a hack to guest host a show that is one of the only ones willing to present those on our side of the war and in a fair manner?"
If Tweety isn't a Bush mouthpiece then there isn't one anywhere. If you have ever seen him do anything fairly, then you are one up on me. He defines "The Consumate Commercial Media Whore".

7. Tweety sucks the large one |
|
I can tell you the day i stopped watching him-May 1st 2003. Why? That was the day Bush put on the Bunny suit and "Pranced" around the aircraft carrier and Tweety did just about everything but blow him. "Oh he looks so macho in that suit, i can see why woman find him attractive" "Can you imagine Al Gore up there doing that, i can't"
Kill ugly television.

9. I beat your "Cable NEws Stop" day by a few days... |
|
April 9th 2003, the day they faked the crowd and pulled down saddams statue. We have been a cable free news channel house since that date and have not looked back one second. (after having cable news channels on abou 8 hours per day or more on big days:) Its easy, turn that shit off people!

8. I am ectastic when Mathews is off and Gregory is on |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 08:40 PM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
David Gregory is a far more interesting and interested interviewer than Mathews. He is also head and shoulders above Nora O'Donell who is about 1 step behind Daren Kagen of CNN ( did she catch the bouquet at the Rush wedding or what? She really wears her heart on her sleeve concerning anything Republican. I think the White House Press corps(e) is always subject to Stockholm syndrome and that's my diagnosis conerning Nora. Too bed, she had potential at being a bona fide journalist).

10. Love, love, love David Gregory-they need to give him that gig |
|
full time and let the puddy cat take Tweety on out. With our luck though, they'd give the gig to Norah O'Donnell!

|
She was positively awful. :puke:
David Gregory is the best Hardball host I've seen. :loveya: If MSNBC had a clue they'd make him the permanent host.

15. I sent an O'Donnell rant of my own to MSNBC. |
|
"How can anyone suggest that Iraq was better off under Saddam than it is now?" she bleated?
In fact, she bleated it twice.
She is so conventional, so predictable, so inane, that she is unwatchable - - and she interrupts as much as Matthews.
And so I wrote MSNBC and told them I was thankful for TiVo so I could skip through her ill-informed rants.

13. You are right about Matthews. |
|
He's is a Bush-champion for the most part and his long-windedness and ego annoys me at times but he still much better to watch than that Roberts bimbo and anything else on corporate cable. His show has been critical of the war of late and I think he treated Cindy fairly when he had her on.
But I agree, give me Gregory any day over him. Though I'm not certain of his ideology, he does question rethugs critically and I suspect he's had a hard-on to get back at chimpster ever since he publicly dissed him in France.
