Why wouldn't another big tax cut for the wealthy...fix things?
Why didn't the last Three Big Tax Cuts For The Wealthy Fix Everything, like the Republicans SWORE, that they would? All the typical America has gotten from the GOP is a pack of lies!

1. The first tax cut is working! You can't deny that!
It, um, just, uh... ... ...takes a while... ... ...yeah... ..., uh, but, tax cuts are good... ...they work... ... ...hey! Look! A war!

15. Yes I'm afraid you're right...
Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 08:06 AM by Hubert Flottz
It's worked too well. They shipped all the good jobs overseas, so that so many Americans wouldn't get gouged at the gas pumps, when gasoline hits $3.00 a gallon. If you don't have a job you won't need to buy all that gas to get to work! They are always watching out for you...................to bend over!

EDIT...$3.00 a gallon works just like a tax cut for the rich!

17. You may think you're being clever or overly cynical
But, just wait. It won't be long before you hear right wing pundits start saying this.

"There are lots of Americans, hard working Americans, who got laid off from high paying jobs in the city. But imagine what these gas prices would be doing to them now! They are lucky they don't have to deal with it."

Then the usual:

"It would only be worse with Gore or Kerry in office"

23. Or they would all still have a job, if they weren't too lazy to...
work for $3.00 an hour.

They never make mistakes just like their hero, the idiot, in Crawford.

I can hear Bush now...Well what are they bitchin' about, they get more time off than me and I'm the damned king?

6. No 'trickle down' from a sponge
The thing that 'trickle down' apologists omit/forget/cover-up is that the top is a sponge. It won't trickle down unless it gets squeezed.

21. Plumbing 101...
Hot on the right;
Cold on the left;
And sh*t don't run uphill...

Nixon starting the plumbing classes and the Bush Klan has attended every one since! At least Reagan handed out some cheese. All we get now, is the cheese eaters.

4. Well, it would, except Congress and the Senate have a Jones for
campaign contributions and gifts from lobbyists. They're hooked on money (not just enough to steal an election), but the supplemental income that gives them a real nice lifestyle (of which you expect them to pay higher taxes?!).

This is a cynical vicious circle of corruption. The system is broken.

and ONLY for the wealthy. Without loopholes. And not a flat tax either.

16. And not a one time payment either.
The longer the wars go on, the longer the wealthy keep paying the War Tax.

You'd soon see the world in peace, I think, especially if every country did this.
