This pastor has a thing for motorcycles - yet he is a leader of a "holiness" church - in particular, note the photo with the granddaughter all dressed in what appears to be black leather!

If you know anything about the UPC you know that they preach modesty in dress - somehow I don't think decking your very small granddaughter in black leather and sitting her on a big Harley is very modest!

most of these ministers are so stuffy trying to prove they are all holier than thou. It is nice to see one who feels good in his own skin. Probably can preach pretty good too...

3. it would be WONDERFUL

if you didn't know anything about the UPC - they are very oppressive - in most churches - all tithes go to the Pastor and there is very little oversight - the Pastor's word is final.

They preach that women should wear no makeup, no pants, not cut their hair, etc. The women are to basically seen but not heard. They believe that they need to be set apart from the world. They don't believe in television or "mixed" swimming, however it's a dirty little secret that since most of the leadership isn't exactly hurting for money that they hide the tv's. (computers are okay though - never quite figured that one out) Women should not wear bathing suits but that's a dirtly little secret too.

I was brainwashed by these nuts for almost a decade - after the pastor lied about me I finally broke out. Their hypocrisy stinks!

I still have many friends in their clutches and I still keep up with what's going on with them.

My first wife was UPC. She introduced me to her church friends, and the list of who used to be married to whom, but got "spiritually divorced" and married somebody else was mind-numbing.

Man, reading this kind of crap always reminds me of how great it is to be an atheist.

Uh...no. If other people say you're humble, you probably are...unless one of the people saying that is your press agent.

But if your own P.R. material brags about your humility, such claims should be taken with a grain of salt about the size of the biblical Mrs. Lot.
