If you must post slime from Freeps or Drudge, et al
on our DU, please say so in the subject/title of the thread or post. That way I (and others) can avoid clicking on the thread to read it, only to find out what it is after I've wasted my time.

I can't hide the thread and ignore it (as I'm sure someone will tell me to do, if I don't like it just ignore it) if I don't know the content ... therefore I must read the title before I can choose to ignore the thread.

Thanks so much in advance for your cooperation.

1. this is a really good idea
I'm sure there are many who would rather not read freeper stuff, and having a warning in the title would help them out.

3. I personally believe in knowing thy enemy
but have no problem with your request...

It would be nice to standardize so people don't get confused; for instance the Detroit Free Press is called the Freep.

Any suggestions?

5. I agree with you that we should know the enemy
I'd just rather we get to know them on their sites.

I was disappointed/surprised when I learned a while ago that Detroit Free Press was freep in the online version! I live in southeas Michigan and read the Free Press a lot.

Maybe we could use Det. Freep for the newspaper and just plain freep for you know who? Anyone else have ideas?

Thanks for your consideration!

6. Freeps = Free Republic web site
Drudge is Matt Drudge blog/web site.

Both are havens of scum and villainy, or the repuke sort.

7. Great idea!
Also, if you do post about Drudge or Freepers, please include relevant quotes so that a reader is not required to go to Drudge or Freeper Land to understand what the heck you are talking about.

I actually like to know what they are saying, but I wouldn't give them the clicks.
